We do not hold government records and cannot provide a certified copy, locate a protected address, confirm someone’s residence, or intervene in an office request. When a fact is wrong in an official record, contact the custodian directly for its correction process.

For a public record that is not online, Michigan FOIA, MCL 15.231 et seq., is the general route to the public body that holds it. A written request should identify the record series, date range, address or parcel when relevant, and desired inspection or copy method. The usual response period is five business days, with one permitted ten-business-day extension.
